Privacy policy

What this site collects

Your email address, if you join the mailing list.

Your name, email address and message, if you write to Lise through the contact page.

Anonymous visit statistics: which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. These are counted with Google Analytics, which uses cookies. They never identify you by name.

What it is used for

Mailing list addresses are used to send you news about Lise’s music and writing: new songs, the poetry book, shows. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works the first time.

These emails are sent on Lise’s behalf by Digital Star Marketing, through Amazon’s email service. Clicks on links in them are counted so Lise can see what readers liked, and replies come to Lise.

Contact messages go to Lise so she can answer you.

Visit statistics help keep the site working well for readers and listeners.

Nothing you share here is sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing.

Music, video and outside links

The site’s typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives a visitor’s IP address when a page opens.

Songs play from this site. The video for “The Night Tribe” plays from YouTube when you press play, and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to it. Links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook take you to those companies’ own sites, which have their own privacy policies.
